Research Assistantships

Currently, research assistantships (RAships) are not an official component of the graduate funding package in English. However, faculty members, particularly those with SSHRC grants, frequently oversee funded research projects that allow them to set up paid research assistantship positions for a limited period. This process mostly works through networking and word-of-mouth, but if you are interested in research assistant work, we recommend discussing your interests with members of the faculty with whom you have an existing relationship.
